Status of 2020 USATF Southern Association Track and Field Schedule

2020 SUMMER TRACK AND FIELD SCHEDULE

While USATF Southern Association is among many organizations across the country suffering through the worse pandemic in U.S. History, it has always been important that we continue to safeguard the health and well-being of our constituents. 
Due to the impact that COVID-19 has had on our geographic areas, this communication is to notify you that all 2020 summer events are being cancelled.
USATF National Office notified us today that the 2020 USATF Hershey National Junior Olympic Championships has also been cancelled.
Last week the Association’s Executive committee voted on a plan to allow all clubs that had a track meet on the 2020 track schedule serve as host for the 2021 USATF Southern Association track schedule.  The schedule is inclusive of developmental, invitational and championship meets.  If you are no longer interested in hosting a meet on your respective dates in 2021, please communicate that with the youth chair at newtonroderic@yahoo.com or via phone at 225-978-4833.
We continue to adhere to the guidance of our local politicians and health authorities.  We encourage you to practice social distancing to avoid infection as we are still in a serious phase of this pandemic.
